Terri is a special education teacher in a TK-5th resource setting in San Diego, California. She was born and raised in Ohio where she graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and a focus area in Pre-Kindergarten Special Needs. She will graduate from San Diego State University with a Masters in Educational Leadership in fall of 2024.

In 2011, she married her high school sweetheart, Scott, a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. With this, Terri has vast experience with new locations, environments/settings, curriculums, and building relationships. Her 14 years of teaching experience covers 4 states (Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and California) from preschool through middle school for general education, special education, intervention, and specials (technology) while having mentored teachers and coached Girls on the Run and soccer.

Terri’s free time is spent with Scott, their adorable red-headed toddler, Levi, newborn boy due October 2024, and dog, Buckeye. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching sports, adventures outside, and exploring new places.

Terri has always had a desire to learn and travel. She took her first trip solo with BookBag Tours to Northern Ireland and Scotland in summer 2022 and has never looked back. She has continued traveling with two BBT alumni to London (2023) and the Mediterranean Cruise (2024). Traveling with teachers and learning from schools around the world is a rewarding experience that she brings back to her classroom. She is excited to continue this experience as BBT leader.
