Patrick Carpenter, a native of Cleveland, OH, has loved the power of education from day one, being raised in a household of teachers and never looking back. Throughout his 17 years in education, Patrick has taught multiple positions both in and outside the classroom – five years teaching second and third grade, five years as a building Reading Specialist, six years as an elementary school principal, and one year as a state literacy coach. He will be returning to lead an elementary school as the building principal in Fall 2025. He also currently teaches a literacy undergraduate and graduate course at a local university.
Patrick loves to share his passion for education with anyone who will join in the conversation. During his time in schools, he coached multiple Girls on the Run teams, partnered with the Disney Musicals in Schools program to produce and direct elementary musical productions, and served as an instructor for Camp Invention. His love for developing the whole child is where he marries his love of education with his love of traveling and learning about cultures around the world.
Outside of the classroom, Patrick enjoys his journey to find the best doughnut, singing and performing with a local men’s chorus, reading all the great children’s literature, and anything Disney.
