Mark currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Call Me MiSTER Program at Clemson University. Our mission is to develop young men to become Elementary school educators. Mark has been affiliated with this program since the year 2000 as an undergraduate student at Claflin University. While graduating with a degree in Elementary Education, he returned to his hometown in South Carolina, to work as a fourth and fifth-grade educator. After quite some time as an elementary teacher, Mark then became an Assistant Principal and ultimately the founding Principal of an Early College School in his hometown. Mark then transitioned to the higher education arena, serving as an Assistant Professor of Education in the Teacher Education Department. “My goal is to serve our profession so that we as educators can be at our best while serving the next generation of leaders”.
