Kim currently is an elementary teacher in Manhattan, IL, and teaches 5th-grade math, social studies, and science. She has been teaching for 17 years and has taught both 5th and 3rd grades. She took a ten-year break from teaching to stay home and raise her 3 children who are now all in college. She graduated with a B.S. in Business Marketing but soon after switched careers earning her M. Ed. She has a passion and enthusiasm for creating engaging hands-on lessons that promote problem-solving and critical thinking skills while focusing on social and emotional growth.
In her spare time, she loves to be reading, doing anything outside, watching HGTV, and exploring shops, restaurants, and activities in her area. Kim is an avid traveler who lived abroad in Belgium and spent many of her weekends traveling through central Europe. She counts Colorado, Hawaii, and Arizona as some of her favorite vacation spots. Kim is very excited to share the beauty, culture, and history of Ireland with you!
