Fairlie is primary school teacher at a small school in regional Victoria, Australia. Over her 18 years at Meredith Primary School, she has been visited by koalas,
kangaroos and echidnas in the playground! Fairlie has taught all year levels (K-6) and currently teaches a combined grade 2/3/4 class.
Throughout her teaching career, Fairlie has held a range of positions including Literacy Leader, Numeracy Leader and PLC Leader. She has also collaborated with a number of agencies, such as The eSafety Commission and the Geelong Football Club, to develop curriculum for schools. Fairlie has a presented at a number of
technology conferences, both in Australia and the USA – her favourite being ISTE 2015, in Philadelphia. She enjoys networking with other teachers and loves nothing more than visiting other schools and classrooms. This is what drew her to Bookbag Tours and their 2019 trip to the USA.
When not teaching and dreaming about where to travel next, Fairlie enjoys buying books, spending time with friends and family, catching up with the latest Netflix binge, listening to music and podcasts, connecting with others on Instagram and supporting her beloved Geelong Cats Australian Rules Football team (Premiers 2022!!).
