Dr. Jeremy Watts is originally from Wiesbaden, Germany as his father served in the United States Army. He studied teacher retention in rural school districts in Eastern Kentucky while exploring why teachers remained in school districts with high teacher retention and in schools with high teacher satisfaction. He also has a background in literacy and his experiences focus on early literacy achievement, including comprehension instruction and literacy response and discussion. He has taught children and adolescents at the elementary, middle, and high school levels of education, served as an instructional leader at the elementary and high school levels, and taught in WV and SC at the college level. His wife is also an educator. Jeremy is excited and passionate about education in the 21st century as being in education is a wonderful calling! In his spare time he enjoys any kind of travel, reading, making music, following college sports, and spending time with family.
