Caity has been in education for over 11 years, with experience teaching middle school, 4th and 5th grades, and most recently as a TESOL teacher. She also served as an assistant principal and developed an ESL program where she independently serviced over 100 K-8 students. On weekends, she teaches adult ESL learners as an adjunct instructor at a local college. Supporting English learners is a big part of her life, not only in the classroom, but at home, too, as Caity is the mother of multilingual children adopted from Ukraine.
Her love for culture and travel has taken her to ten different countries so far. She’s visited international schools in four of these countries and enjoys connecting education with global experiences. Caity has traveled with BBT to England and helped organize the 2023 Bookbag Tours trip to Italy.
When she’s not traveling or teaching, Caity enjoys a good cup of coffee, curling up with a book, and planning her next trip. As a BBT travel leader, she’s excited to connect with other educators who believe that stepping into a new culture is one of the most powerful ways to learn.
