Ashley has been teaching upper elementary and middle school Language Arts in rural Minnesota for 15 years. She is now making the exciting move to teach 4th grade in an elementary school within the same district. She is passionate about helping students grow both in and out of the classroom and believes travel is one of the best ways to inspire learning.
As a solo traveler with Bookbag Tours, Ashley has explored Ireland, Northern Ireland, Austria, and Germany. With her family, she has traveled to Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Germany. When she is home, she trades her suitcase for boots as she cares for her small farm of chickens, horses, ducks, cats, a loyal dog, and vineyard. Unsurprisingly for a Language Arts teacher, she always has a book nearby.
As a BBT Travel Leader, Ashley’s goal is to spark joy, curiosity, and connection through every journey. Travel is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. When teachers explore the world, they bring that magic back to their students and communities.
